If you find auto save and .player files you took the wrong path.
Next you want to scroll down to the line that says r_api. Change the number next to it to r_api 0

Something she figured out is that if you have a ton of the .tpf files for texmod you can go through and number them (i.e. 01-modname.tpf , 02-modname.tpf etc.) and sort them that way in the order you want them to load then just CTRL+A and select all the mods in the folder and TexMod will load them all at once in order so you don't have to spend forever loading each file.

I have set it to r_api 0, downloaded your mll4.7z and texmod files. I have no idea on what to do next. No idea how to use texmod software and can't find Masseffect2.exe for rename as stated in your instructions.

Go to the very first sentence in the instructions and it says to exchange Masseffect2.exe for your MLL executable.In other words the instructions would be the same for ANY steam game but for the executable names.
Delete*FrogPenis=Any Name,every name,any steam game name etc,etc....
Alright say the game executable is named *FrogPenis.exe, for steam you need to rename it to FrogPenisOriginal.exe.Then you copy texmod into the game folder and rename texmod to FrogPenis.exe....
What you want steam to do is launch texmod first so you can load it with the tpf files.
-Rename your ORIGINAL game executable( *FrogPenis.exe ) to FrogPenisOriginal.exe
-Rename Texmod.exe to *FrogPenis.exe
-Launch the game via Steam, it should execute Texmod instead of the game.
-Click on the folder icon below "Target Application" then select your FrogPenisOriginal.exe.
-Now, you need to select the tpf, click on the folder icon just above the red cross and select a tpf file.
-Click run to load the game. Some antivirus may detect a trojan, that's a false positive well known of Texmod.

Thanks Gandalf. I've completed all the steps and now waiting for her to magically strip away the other portion of her clothing. Unfortunately, after probably 20+ tips, she still hasn't. How long does it normally take?
ReplyDeleteThat's why i didn't want to release it but i was talked into it.Your guess is as good as mine,are you standing up between dances?Try standing up then pay her for another dance.Make sure r_api 0 is still set steam is notorious for over writing files.Might want to make the file read only.Left click choose properties and tic the read only box.

ReplyDeleteIt is still r_api 0 but i've set it to read only anyways. I did stand up between dances a few times and surprisingly, she's actually naked. However, the moment I pay her for another dance, she goes back to default clothing. I will test this again tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping texmod would work better with this game but dx9 is quickly becoming obsolete.Tools would be nice but i've yet to find any.
DeleteThe moment I booted up the game, it actually worked for the first dance but I decided to stand up and sit back for the second one and it stopped working. This is quite buggy (happens randomly) and frustrating.

DeleteI tried out your mod and the weirdest thing happened. I used Texmod before, but for some reason your texture for the dancer gets applied to things in the environment and on NPCs clothing. I'm mostly sure Texmod finds and codes certain textures so this shouldn't happen. DX9 is enabled and I have my setting to high for best results and yet I never had this happen to any other mods before. Your thoughts would be a great help since I and a novice modder. Thanks for the time and effort put into making this awesome mod. This noob just needs help to get it to work properly.
Like i said above it doesn't work properly.Yes i know it shouldn't happen.I've googled the problem and found nothing and no other game i've used texmod on has behaved this way.

I don't have the game installed anymore so i can't check to see if turning off phsx ,ssaa and vsync will help or not.If it had worked properly i would have skinned the other characters.

DeleteCool, download works but TexMod gives an error when trying to run the package. Antivirus software is off, firewall was turned off and TexMod set to run as admin and still the error persisted. Game launched fine from TexMod without the package selected. Any word of advice?

I also said I ran as administrator and still got nothing. Are you sure this is still moddable? Would you be willing to try it just to double check if you have the chance?
